Asana with Nidra

Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation, while still maintaining full awareness. The yogic goal of both deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation are the same, a state of deep relaxed meditative consciousness to help the natural healing process of the body, mind and soul.

The practice of passive and supported yoga postures combined with yoga nidra has been found to reduce tension and anxiety. In this fast paced modern day world, the autonomic symptoms of high anxiety such as headache, giddiness, chest pain, palpitations, sweating and abdominal pain respond wonderfully to Yoga Nidra and restful yogic posture. It has been used to help cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
